1. Data Collected

    Currently, all data collected about you, the user, is done by automated processes, and is collected according to industry standards. No personal information is recorded. No information other the information that would usually be collected about a user while they are browsing is derived. The actual information collected consists of:

    • IP Address
    • Time of Visit
    • Page Visited

  2. Data Storage

    The storage of this "log" data is out of my hands. As far as I am aware, it is stored indefinately, however, I will strive to have any and all data on you, the user, removed as soon as possible.

  3. The Data Protection Act

    The Data Protection Act (here in the UK) states that any and all data collected on the user must be collected for a reason, and must be deleted once it is no longer useful. The log data collecetd by the Apache webserver is useful to me in tracking popularity of certain articles or helping me improve certain aspects of the site, such as the navigational system. No data collected is personally identifiable and is removed from the server as soon as is possible.

  4. Protection of Children

    This is a family friendly site, and contains no vulgar, abusive, insulting or offensive content. However, I am not permitted to recieve personally identifiable information from under-14 year olds. The only possible way for a child of this age to send me this type of information is through the email addresses provided, the street address or my telephone. Since I cannot prevent a child from using any of these methods, it is beyond my hands, however, upon hypothetically recieving personal details from an under-14, they will be promptly deleted/shredded/otherwise destroyed, and the young person warned not to send this type of information to me again.

    In addition to this, no person under the age of 18 may request a quote, owing to the fact that they cannot legally sign a binding contract. This may be overturned if their parents are willing to accept responsibility on their behalf.

  5. Jurisdiction

    Any and all legal matters pertaining to this website or this privacy policy fall under the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom.
